Welcome to Latter-day Miracles, where we share true stories of angels and marvels. Get ready to enjoy accounts from everyday people that remind us of divine love, that we're never truly alone, and the power of faith in these latter days. I'm Haley Hatch Freeman. And I'm Misty Smith. Sit back, open your heart and prepare to be inspired.

[00:00:27] Haley Freeman: Welcome to Latter-day Miracles. Today we have a fun episode to start off the new year, we thought it'd be fun for us to do this episode and share some of our experiences. I am going to actually share a few angel stories that I have had over the years. Some of 'em happened about 10 years ago, and some of them are a little more recent, so I'm gonna share those.

But first, we wanted to thank our viewers. They have been awesome. We've got some fun comments and we just wanted to share some of our comments from our viewers. And do a little shout out to them and let you know that we are reading the comments and we really appreciate your feedback. So keep 'em coming.

So we're gonna start out with one from jeneangodbold2333 And if I say that wrong, I'm sorry. And she says, "thank you for sharing this beautiful, instructive, hopeful podcast. Mm-hmm. I was so encouraged by this." And she has a bunch of hearts there, so thank you. We appreciate that. It helps us feel encouraged to keep going.

[00:01:34] Misty Smith: Yep.

[00:01:35] Haley Freeman: And we have one here from Kristen.

It says, "just watch your new podcast. I loved everything about it. I felt the spirit so strong. It was wonderful. Can't wait to watch more. We all need to remember the miracles in our life."

[00:01:50] Misty Smith: Okay, so from Haley's podcast episode, Overcoming Anorexia with Divine Guidance, we had, a couple comments. One of them said, uh, "thank you for sharing your experience, Haley.

It's reassuring and very needed for our day. I will add that I think experiences with the other side are more common than we might realize. Satan doesn't want us to succeed, but God is stronger and will always be with us. I'm glad I discovered your channel and I'm looking forward to hearing more miracle stories." And that one came from, imawordgirl.

Thank you. And then from A Ghana Mission of Miracles from Mary DeGraffenried's Trailblazing Journey we had a comment from stouthart2 that says "what a beautiful spirit she has. I'm so glad I listened to this." And I can say that she does have a very beautiful spirit and Mary, congratulations.

We heard you got married too. So congrats for that.

[00:03:01] Haley Freeman: Congratulations. Yes.

[00:03:03] Misty Smith: Um, okay, so going over to Kathy Truman's story on praising God and unlocking miracles. We had a comment that said "this was wonderful, I gained so much from it. Thank you. I love your podcasts." Um. And "Thank you for this. It's amazing." From denisejmackelprang5242

[00:03:30] Haley Freeman: Awesome. And we have from, um, the Language of Miracles. This was one that me and Misty did on some spiritual triumphs we had, from aseasonofpurpose. She said, "I am so glad that I found your channel. I'm watching episode after episodes."

[00:03:47] Misty Smith: Hey.

[00:03:47] Haley Freeman: Yeah. Awesome. And she says, " as I am doing some mending and hand sewing," she was watching those episodes and she goes, "I just can't get enough.

Thank you - both of you- for sharing your light to this turbulent world."

[00:03:59] Misty Smith: That's nice.

[00:03:59] Haley Freeman: Awesome. Thank you. Um, aseasonofpurpose. And here's a comment from Rayanna. She said, "every time I listen to your podcast, I just feel like I want to thank you for making this information available to people like me and so many others.

I am being more open to finding miracles in my own life.

[00:04:20] Misty Smith: Good.

[00:04:20] Haley Freeman: Yeah. That's awesome.

[00:04:21] Misty Smith: Yes,

[00:04:22] Haley Freeman: so thank you, Rayanna.

[00:04:24] Misty Smith: Yes, absolutely. I love hearing that people are having experiences like that or making more of a conscious effort to feel out for miracles in their life.

Um, okay. We're gonna jump forward to this comment from lifelonglearningeducation1734 "Wonderful channel", simple, sweet, and to the point. Um, "These many miracles are a testament to the admonition to seek and expect miracles. I thought back to so many points in my life while listening to this precious sister," that episode is finding inspiration in Life's Miracles with Trina Boice, if you're wondering where that came from. Um, so moving forward, JoAnna Oblander's Near-Death Experience: A Life-Altering Visit with God. This one comment said "what a beautiful, sacred experience.

Thank you, JoAnna, for sharing your story. You are an inspiration to me. I have dealt with chronic depression and fairly regular migraines for decades now, and this really helped to strengthen my testimony." Thank you for writing that comment. We love reaching people in all different types of struggles that they going through.

[00:05:46] Haley Freeman: Absolutely. Um, and there's another comment here from the episode, Healing Miracles with Linda Perks, and it is from JoniN-h4q Sorry, again if I'm saying wrong, um, It said "I loved every word! Great job, Linda dear."

[00:06:09] Misty Smith: ohh

Okay, so this one comes from Deanna from the episode.

Christmas Angels: Ferreall Hornsby's Inspiring Miracles.

[00:06:19] Haley Freeman: And I just have to say, I know Christmas time was so busy and you might not have had a chance to check out that episode yet, but that was a beautiful, so good episode of Christmas Miracles.

So go back and check it out. Some of 'em, you know, are, are not just Christmas based. There's just like miracles. So go check it out if you haven't.

[00:06:36] Misty Smith: Okay, this comes from Deanna. That was a super wonderful Christmas Eve message today. I loved your podcast. You guys are always spiritually in tune. That is so kind of you to say.

So thank you Deanna. Um, we have more comments on there. We would love to hear from you. Go ahead and reach out the way that you feel um, you need to reach out and. We appreciate you taking time to listen and hopefully feel the spirit when you do and feel inspired. Um, at this time we're gonna go ahead and turn it over to Haley to hear some of her miracles that have been impacting her life.

Um. So,

[00:07:16] Haley Freeman: yes. Thank you. Yeah, thank you again. I mean, that's why we're doing this, is to hopefully help others see miracles and, know that they are real and they're happening still. I've mentioned this before, but that was why I felt inspired to start this podcast is, Heavenly Father was saying I want people to know what I am doing and what I have done and what I can do for others.

And that is the whole point of this. So I feel so blessed when we see these comments that people are watching and they're, um, enjoying these episodes. So thank you again. Um, okay. I wanna start out with a quote that I know I read very beginning of the season, but, it is, uh, good opening quote for what I'm gonna share.

It's from President Holland and

[00:08:01] Misty Smith: mm-hmm.

[00:08:01] Haley Freeman: As we know, he's just passed. And I just loved his testimony of angels. There were so many times, so many talks that he talked about angels, and I think this is one of my favorite ones he said that, he said, "I believe we need to speak of and believe in and bear testimony of the ministry of angels more than we sometimes do."

And that was from his talk "For a Wise Purpose."

[00:08:25] Misty Smith: So Haley, I just have to say, when I heard that, I, um, I was like, because that was more recent, wasn't it?

[00:08:32] Haley Freeman: He's talked a lot about angels more recently, but I think this particular talk is an older one.

[00:08:37] Misty Smith: Oh, okay.

[00:08:37] Haley Freeman: But he definitely has talked about angels. A lot

[00:08:40] Misty Smith: more. A lot. Okay. So, uh, one thing I, I don't think I realized how much he loved talking about angels, and it's something I became aware of closer to the end of his life.

[00:08:53] Haley Freeman: Yeah.

[00:08:53] Misty Smith: And so when we were just starting this podcast and I would hear things that he would say, I was like, yes, we, we need that.

We need our leaders to be pushing us to realize that these stories and things we witness and the testimonies of others are not just stories. They're real life and they happen. And, and they start with faith. So I love that you've read that now, especially since you know, the end of his life and things are changing, like leadership is changing and I just love hearing all takes of angels in our leadership.

[00:09:36] Haley Freeman: Yeah. Another thing I love that he had a near death experience. Mm-hmm. and he would share about it. Yeah. I love that he did that too.

[00:09:44] Misty Smith: Absolutely.

[00:09:45] Haley Freeman: Mm-hmm. Yeah. He, he was wonderful. I already miss, yeah. Miss

[00:09:48] Misty Smith: him.

[00:09:48] Haley Freeman: I couldn't

[00:09:49] Misty Smith: believe it.

[00:09:50] Haley Freeman: I know.

So, um, so that's one thing that, my stories I wanna share are, experiences of angels that I've had in my life.

And so I'm gonna do what he said, "bear testimony of the ministry of angels." That's what I'm gonna do today. I have about three or four stories and they spanned from, uh, I think 2016 is the latest. So this is one, it happened a while ago our whole family is going through some hard times and

in my patriarchal blessing it says that as I'm humble and faithful that the veil will be open to me. And um, this was definitely a time where we were very humbled and, I was with my husband and crying and struggling and I felt my sister who had passed away.

And I heard her say my name a couple times, like she was trying to get my attention 'cause I was in a grief state. And she kind of got a little bit, uh, insistent. "Haley, Haley

I'm here." And um, and then once I realized she was there, uh, to comfort me, she said, I've been assigned to come and be with you today.

And, for the lack of a better word, 'cause assigned you feel that is a, a duty. But it wasn't, that's not the right word, 'cause she didn't feel like it was a duty. She felt like it was a privilege and she was so excited to be there with me and she sent me so much love. And was so thankful that she was chosen to be there with me and that was her

assignment

[00:11:30] Misty Smith: mm-hmm.

[00:11:30] Haley Freeman: to be there for me that night. And she said that she wasn't going to leave me that night 'cause she was able to stay. And that's something I learned with angels is they're very busy. They have schedules, they have assignments, they're busy. But she could be there and she could stay. And I was so thankful that she wasn't just going to be there for that moment and leave that she was allowed to stay with me that whole night and to comfort me the rest of the night.

And um, then the next day, Brandon was particularly having a hard time that night and he was up, you know, we were just upset and um, I felt his grandma come his Grandma Freeman, and she said to me.

It's my turn to come, like I was assigned today and she said there, her words were, there's armies of angels waiting to be assigned for you guys and that wanted to come to be with you. She used the words armies and hoards of angels that are in line waiting for their turn and wanting to come, but just as a proud grandma like she was on earth.

She was so proud that she was chosen. This is like exactly what she said. She said they all wanted to come, but look, I'm the one who got to come to you and she was such a proud grandma that she was the one that got to have this honor to come and comfort me and Brandon that night, it's funny 'cause spirits still have the same personality as they do and on earth, as on the other side.

They're the same person still Uhhuh. And she was so feisty still and just so proud and so spunky. Like ah look, I'm the one that got to be here and they all wanted to, but no, I was chosen

[00:13:19] Misty Smith: so fun

[00:13:20] Haley Freeman: And then she kept telling me, tell Brandon I'm here. Tell him I'm here. And I didn't.

[00:13:26] Misty Smith: Oh.

[00:13:27] Haley Freeman: Because I just kept waiting for that moment.

'cause it kind of is awkward being like, oh,

[00:13:32] Misty Smith: by the way,

[00:13:33] Haley Freeman: so we're here alone, but not really.

[00:13:35] Misty Smith: Mm-hmm.

[00:13:36] Haley Freeman: And so I was waiting for the moment, but she kept saying it again and again, like Haley, and she was like, this spunky lady,

she kept saying, Haley, tell him! Haley

[00:13:46] Misty Smith: that's, so

[00:13:47] Haley Freeman: She was getting kind of frustrated with me, I think. Because I wasn't telling him. But anyway, I just couldn't find the right moment. But the, next day I did tell him I did, I said, last night your grandma,

mm-hmm.

[00:14:02] Haley Freeman: Your Grandma Freeman came and she was there to comfort us and she said that, there was armies of angels supporting us.

[00:14:10] Misty Smith: That's incredible.

[00:14:11] Haley Freeman: And, she was so proud to be chosen to be there with you and us, and, and he got really emotional and he said, I have been specifically praying.

For my grandma to come. Oh. And he goes, and now his, his mom has passed away and we've had moments with her too, but he goes, but for some reason I've been specifically needing my grandma. I've been praying for my grandma, so I'm like, okay, now I know why she was, she was like, tell Brandon I'm here. So,

[00:14:49] Misty Smith: oh, that's incredible.

I love, I love the thought that each one of us have a hoard of people that are waiting to serve us and help us because. I mean, we hear about it all the time. This life is hard. This life is so hard and I'm confident many listeners run across this, this podcast because they need help.

[00:15:22] Haley Freeman: Mm-hmm.

[00:15:23] Misty Smith: And to know that you've had an experience when we were, you were confirmed that there are many.

With wanting and willing to serve their family, I think brings so much comfort to me and I'm sure to many lessers that need that love and know that they matter.

[00:15:46] Haley Freeman: So

[00:15:46] Misty Smith: thank you.

[00:15:47] Haley Freeman: And it made me think of the quote from, it's actually Holland too.

He says, "Heaven is cheering you on today, tomorrow, and forever."

[00:15:53] Misty Smith: Yes.

[00:15:54] Haley Freeman: And that's what I felt. Oh, cool. I felt her saying that. Yeah,

[00:15:57] Misty Smith: so good.

[00:15:58] Haley Freeman: And um, recently , I saw a picture, it was in the Come Follow Me lessons Uhhuh. And, and it was of that, you know, the people and then the angels are supporting them.

[00:16:08] Misty Smith: Yeah,

[00:16:09] Haley Freeman: and I'm just like, this is what it was. This is a perfect image of what I felt and was the communication that his grandma was relaying to us of all these angels just supporting

[00:16:21] Misty Smith: Wow.

[00:16:21] Haley Freeman: Supporting us.

[00:16:23] Misty Smith: Wow.

Yeah. I love that. That came from Holland as well.

[00:16:28] Haley Freeman: I know, and here's the quote that it reminds me of in the scriptures. Mm-hmm. And this is in 2 Kings, chapter 6: 16 -17 says, fear not: for they that be with us are more than they

be with them. And Elijah prayed and said, Lord, I pray thee, open his eyes that he may see, and the Lord opened the eyes of the young man and he saw and behold the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elijah. And then. Jeffrey Holland goes on and says, in the gospel of Jesus Christ, we have help from both sides of the veil.

And you must never forget that when disappointments and discouragement strikes and they will. You remember and never forget that if our eyes could be opened, we would see horses and chariots of fire. As far as the eyes can see, riding at reckless speed to come to our protection, they will always be there.

These armies of heaven in defense of Abraham's seed. And I thought that was interesting 'cause that is the word that his grandma used. Yeah. Armies of angels. And she said a hoards of angels. So, I mean, that's, that's

[00:17:37] Misty Smith: awesome.

[00:17:38] Haley Freeman: That just reconfirms my testimony of that.

[00:17:40] Misty Smith: Yeah, absolutely. Um, I, I don't know where I heard it from, but I remember it starting out to me, I think it was President Nelson to be honest, but I can't quote it exactly, but he said something along the lines of, um, if we could just have the veil taken away for a minute, we would see how many angels.

Would step in to keep us safe on a daily, like on the daily. Absolutely. So it's, it's belief, it's knowing and obviously my experience, one of my major experiences, 'cause I've had a few others, laid on knowing that angels are there to protect you and keep you safe, which I know it might be difficult for those that might have struggles that they're like, why aren't these getting fixed?

Or Why wasn't so and so saved or safe? Um, but that also, I think that lies in faith and

[00:18:39] Haley Freeman: Yeah.

[00:18:40] Misty Smith: And, um. And not just faith, but also allowing God's will to happen and angels will step in when they need to.

[00:18:49] Haley Freeman: Yeah.

[00:18:49] Misty Smith: Uh, but we need to have that faith to allow that to happen. So anyways, just, just a thought.

[00:18:55] Haley Freeman: Absolutely. Yep. Um, so my next story happened when we had the Elk Ridge fires, were you, did you live here?

[00:19:02] Misty Smith: I I was here, yes. Okay. I was, we've had a couple Elk Ridge fires

[00:19:06] Haley Freeman: when we were evacuated,

[00:19:07] Misty Smith: but when we were evacuated, yes, we were here for a few years. I was

[00:19:11] Haley Freeman: pick up the year on that and I, I didn't have a chance, but.

It was a while ago, but that we need to do a whole episode on that. We

[00:19:18] Misty Smith: do. '

[00:19:19] Haley Freeman: cause that was miraculous.

[00:19:21] Misty Smith: Yes.

[00:19:21] Haley Freeman: That was a miracle. We should have been burnt up our town.

[00:19:24] Misty Smith: Yeah.

[00:19:24] Haley Freeman: And that's amazing. We'll have to save that for another time. Yes. But yeah, if we just go outside right now, go find any neighbor, they will have a miracle story.

Mm-hmm. Because it was amazing.

[00:19:32] Misty Smith: Oh.

[00:19:33] Haley Freeman: Um,

[00:19:33] Misty Smith: to the very end. The very end. Well. Oh my gosh. Yeah.

[00:19:37] Haley Freeman: So we will, we'll save that for another time,

[00:19:39] Misty Smith: Uhhuh.

[00:19:39] Haley Freeman: Um, but uh, so during that time, where did you go? Where were you evacuated to?

[00:19:45] Misty Smith: We went to my mom's home in Payson and she had a condo and we just kinda packed in there and she kept us for those days

that we were gone. How about you?

[00:19:57] Haley Freeman: So we went to my brother's house Okay. In Santaquin

[00:20:00] Misty Smith: Okay.

[00:20:01] Haley Freeman: And so during that time, um, while I was there with him, I watched my brother Travis.

[00:20:07] Misty Smith: Mm-hmm.

[00:20:08] Haley Freeman: Um, serve. Serve, serve, serve. Oh, so many people. So obviously he's serving us. We, with me, Brandon , and my three kids loaded up, went and lived in his house.

Yeah. Lived in his basement.

[00:20:22] Misty Smith: Mm-hmm.

[00:20:23] Haley Freeman: For who knows how long. Right. He just said, come right. Yeah. Immediately come.

[00:20:26] Misty Smith: Just go.

[00:20:27] Haley Freeman: And, but while we were there, I just noticed like he was serving. People in his ward, his neighbors, his anybody, his wife, us, just everyone. He was just serving and serving. I remember he was like, oh, I gotta go.

Someone doesn't have a car right now. I'm gonna go drive. I'm here and here. Oh, I'm gonna go do this. Just serving like crazy.

[00:20:45] Misty Smith: Mm-hmm.

[00:20:46] Haley Freeman: And I remember I was laying, I was laying in bed. Um, I, I was alone. I think I was just maybe taking a nap or something. Mm-hmm. Because I was alone. And um, and I was just kind of feeling bad

about myself because I was like, I suck. I was like, Travis is amazing.

[00:21:08] Misty Smith: Oh, that's so awesome.

[00:21:09] Haley Freeman: He's just serving and serving and I am not even half as good as him in serving. And I, I understand. 'cause like I have a lot of health problems and so physically I can't go and do as much as he can. But I was feeling just really bad.

I was feeling really bad about myself and like, man, I, I'm just horrible.

[00:21:29] Misty Smith: Mm-hmm.

[00:21:30] Haley Freeman: And then right at that time I, I felt my dad's spirit come.

[00:21:34] Misty Smith: Mm-hmm.

And

[00:21:35] Haley Freeman: I felt my dad say, Travis is a server. And you are a testifier. Oh,

[00:21:42] Misty Smith: I love that. Oh, that's exactly what you needed to hear at that time. Yeah.

[00:21:46] Haley Freeman: So I was like, you know what you, it's true that we can serve in different ways.

We can serve Heavenly Father and and others by doing different things.

[00:21:58] Misty Smith: Mm-hmm.

[00:21:59] Haley Freeman: And I needed to not be so hard on myself. Yeah, sure. I could still serve others. I still need to serve others when I can. But you know, sometimes I do have limits because of my health problems. Mm-hmm. I just needed to remember, um, that I had different skills.

[00:22:12] Misty Smith: Yeah.

[00:22:12] Haley Freeman: And when my dad says, and you are a testifier.

[00:22:16] Misty Smith: Yeah. I love that.

[00:22:17] Haley Freeman: And I'm like, you know what? Like I am not afraid

[00:22:21] Misty Smith: Uhhuh

[00:22:21] Haley Freeman: to do this podcast and to testify.

[00:22:24] Misty Smith: Yeah.

[00:22:25] Haley Freeman: Of the gospel. I'm not afraid to do this podcast and testify of angels.

[00:22:29] Misty Smith: Mm-hmm.

[00:22:30] Haley Freeman: And, and so I just need to remind myself that there are different ways to serve our Heavenly Father.

Mm-hmm. There's different ways to push the gospel forward. There's different ways to help others. And so

[00:22:42] Misty Smith: Absolutely.

[00:22:43] Haley Freeman: That was, um, something I've held onto. And it gives me courage too. Like if I'm feeling nervous about something, be like, you know what? I know part of my mission on Earth is to be a testifier.

[00:22:53] Misty Smith: Yeah.

Um, one, one of our guests, I was able to read her book and I was able to, grow with knowledge. Because I was able to receive a really cool witness, many of us also gain experiences or knowledge that we use here on earth from how we grew with God before in our pre life. And, um, when I found that out, it made me realize that what I enjoy here in this life,

is necessary for the growth of our ward family or our immediate family, or to be able to use in the growing of God's kingdom. So that's a really neat experience that you had because that just testifies that every one of us matters and that all of our skill sets are important to Heavenly Father.

So I, I absolutely love that. Um, anyways.

[00:23:56] Haley Freeman: Yeah.

Um, I have a journal of all my spiritual experiences that I write in, and so I try to keep track of all these and write 'em all down.

So this was, this happened in, uh, March 3rd , 2018.

Okay. This was my son Ashton getting baptized. So, my dad had passed away just a couple years before this, and this was gonna be my first child being baptized without my dad. Oh. Being there and without him being a witness. Oh. That

[00:24:25] Misty Smith: hard.

[00:24:26] Haley Freeman: And, um, I was just had a heavy heart that my dad wasn't there.

And I was praying that he would be allowed to be there

and, I was trying to be really in tune extra. I've learned that, for me to have these spiritual experiences it is necessary for me to be, humbled and in tune.

[00:24:44] Misty Smith: Mm-hmm.

[00:24:45] Haley Freeman: You know, in that head space then.

[00:24:47] Misty Smith: Right.

[00:24:48] Haley Freeman: And the meeting had started and one thing that I was really grateful for, for his, 'cause sometimes there's multiple baptisms and, so there's like multiple different speakers from people you don't know speaking or Yeah. You know, things like that. But, um, Ashton was the only one being baptized.

And so they just let us be right in the Relief Society room with the font and everything, and

[00:25:07] Misty Smith: Neat.

[00:25:07] Haley Freeman: And it was just us and, and it just helped me be extra, in the moment, extra in tune and,

[00:25:13] Misty Smith: mm-hmm.

[00:25:13] Haley Freeman: And then he was able to pick all the, the songs and speakers and everything. and he picked, the song When I Am Baptized,

[00:25:19] Misty Smith: as Love that song.

[00:25:20] Haley Freeman: Yeah. As soon as that came on, I, I felt my dad come behind me. He, he stood behind me and he said, of course I'd be here for my little girl. Then he told me. He was proud of me for the kind of mom that I was. And I remember being really surprised by this because, um, I guess I just wasn't expecting more of a message then just being like, I'm here, you know?

[00:25:43] Misty Smith: Yeah.

[00:25:43] Haley Freeman: And then also at that time I was, had an extra hard time with my health.

It was an extra, uh, chunk of time that I was struggling with my health. I'll have like a really hard like year or something, or a hard few months and then I'll have a good year or. So it's not like bad days, good days, it's more years and months.

[00:25:58] Misty Smith: Mm.

[00:25:59] Haley Freeman: Um, but anyways, I was really struggling. And I think I was feeling extra bad.

Like I wasn't being as good of a mom as I wanted to be because my health was hard. And so him saying like, how good of a mom I was, I was like, oh gosh, that's like what I really needed to hear because I didn't feel like I was doing as well as I wanted. And then, um, a sweet little extension of this message was, um, throughout the next following days and weeks.

I kept feeling these little promptings and hearing these little messages saying as I would do something for my family, whatever, big or small, little things as I would do, I would hear, this is what makes me proud. Hmm. So it would just,

[00:26:37] Misty Smith: that is so sweet.

[00:26:38] Haley Freeman: So sometimes, as moms we don't really realize the impact we're having in good things we're doing.

Like, even though it's just little things like family prayers or

[00:26:47] Misty Smith: uhhuh,

[00:26:47] Haley Freeman: Making those meals or spending a little extra time with your kids or whatever, and those were the times that I'd hear like, this is what makes me proud.

[00:26:54] Misty Smith: Yeah.

[00:26:54] Haley Freeman: So we sometimes, as moms just need to be not so hard on ourselves and realize what's important

[00:26:58] Misty Smith: Absolutely.

[00:27:00] Haley Freeman: yeah.

[00:27:00] Misty Smith: I love that. Haley, I think we have to remember Haley's been having experiences since you were, I don't know, a teen, was it?

[00:27:10] Haley Freeman: It was probably since 16,

[00:27:11] Misty Smith: and so I know I've had a few people say like, I've never had experiences like that, so how could I believe? I think the one that got me the most.

Was when I had someone tell me I don't have a relationship with God, so I don't have those experiences. I think we have to give ourselves grace and love ourselves and remember that we all do have miracles and those angels are always touching our lives and are helping us. And that you have a gift to be able to witness the veil thinning out.

[00:27:57] Haley Freeman: Yeah , I had to pay the price. I, I had to literally like die.

[00:28:01] Misty Smith: Yeah. You had an

[00:28:02] Haley Freeman: near death

[00:28:02] Misty Smith: experience.

[00:28:03] Haley Freeman: I mean, it didn't happen until I had my near death experience and went through hell and back, I mean,

[00:28:08] Misty Smith: right.

[00:28:08] Haley Freeman: And then I was left with, um, this to happen once in a while and I can't like control it.

I can't choose when it happens, it's always when Heavenly Father wants it to happen for a purpose, you know? Um,

[00:28:21] Misty Smith: and, and living your life. Uh, do you feel a little bit extra pressure to live worthy, quote unquote, you know, to receive these things or.

[00:28:33] Haley Freeman: I hope I would just live my life this way anyway.

[00:28:35] Misty Smith: Yeah,

[00:28:36] Haley Freeman: There's times when I've went to the temple maybe thinking, oh, I hope some, you know, something. Mm-hmm. I could use something or whatever. Right. And that doesn't happen.

[00:28:42] Misty Smith: Yeah.

[00:28:43] Haley Freeman: It doesn't happen.

[00:28:43] Misty Smith: Mm-hmm.

[00:28:44] Haley Freeman: And I can't choose it.

It's not, it's just when Heavenly Father needs a message to come through for some reason. Or if we're in this extra, extra hard place where the Lord knows we need that comfort or a lot a lot of times it's messages for other people or something. Yeah.

[00:29:00] Misty Smith: That's, I think that's one thing that I've, I've realized, so one thing after talking to a lot of guests that we've even discussed, this is

it feels like when you have those experiences the veil doesn't fully ever close for that person.

[00:29:16] Haley Freeman: Right.

[00:29:16] Misty Smith: I've definitely had experiences and they've shown up in different ways, and this past year has definitely been flooded with ways to reach out to others and it's a reminder that things I go through aren't just for me.

We have to remember that sometimes these gifts come with heaviness and difficulties, but they always come with the spirit bearing testimony of this truth. So if you're someone there that's saying, I don't know what my relationship is with God, or how come I can't have these experiences or what am I not good enough?

'cause I've heard, I've heard people tell me things like that. Yeah. It breaks my heart. It you have to remember, everyone has their gifts and you're good for who you are is needed in this world. You just have to find the gift that's given to you.

There's leaders that have most likely not witnessed some of these incredible things and have passed to the next life, but they've lived with faith. Um, and then there's leaders that have had experiences like this. And so just, I think I just wanna. Remind people as they listen, and as you hear other people testifying of their miracles, remember, these miracles are there to be testified of, to help others as much as they help you.

And, that God wants all to grow from how he uses people to testify.

[00:31:07] Haley Freeman: So maybe that's why Heavenly Fathers allowed this to happen. 'cause he knew I wouldn't be afraid to

[00:31:12] Misty Smith: testify. We talk about this all time. There's times I'm like,

[00:31:15] Haley Freeman: I've got afraid. I'll say whatever you want me to

[00:31:17] Misty Smith: say.

Definitely

[00:31:18] Haley Freeman: if Heaven Father tells me to do something, I'll do it.

[00:31:20] Misty Smith: Absolutely. There's times I've gone to you, Haley, and I've been like, I did not have a good experience testifying something or someone pushed back, you know? And, and Haley's experiences are completely opposite of mine. And, um, I think we just have to remember that we're all in our individual paths, but we come here together to learn from one another.

So I bear my testimony that I know, and I have seen angels and I have witnessed God's love. And I'm so grateful that you started this podcast and that, um, you have the impression to pull me along. I love that and I've, I've appreciated how much my life has grown, and I hope that all you listeners feel the same way, that you could take one thing if it's one thing you could take to help carry you on through difficulties or through the good moments too.

And remember that God is in your life, in every part of your life I just, I'm so happy for you if you could have that help that you need in this life to carry you through because you matter. God loves you, and angels and miracles are there to help us. So thank you Haley for this opportunity and this platform to do so.

[00:32:45] Haley Freeman: Yep. Thank you for joining us today, and like Misty said, I hope you were able to pull at least one message from today and we will see you next time.
